Once you have purchased a design service from our store, we will be in touch within 24 hours to say "Hi" and to request relevant information for the design. From there we will create a concept within 7 working days.

We then use your feedback to make any changes or, if need be, go back to the drawing board.

 

How do you design my book cover?

We use Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator to create custom designs using licensed photographs, illustrations and vector art. We cut, edit and manipulate the images, use special effects and add a touch of magic.

 

Are you an illustrator?

No. Though we do make use of illustrators' work through licensing, and use our skills in image editing/manipulation, typography and special effects to create a unique designs.

 

Can I use my own image?

If you have created your own illustration or have a photograph that you took yourself that you want incorporating into a design, we can do that. We cannot use images found off the web unless they are a) high quality & b) you have the appropriate licenses.

 

What information do you need to design my book cover?

For e-book cover design, we ask for the title, subtitle (if needed), series information (if needed), a summary of your story, the genre your book fits into and ask if you have any ideas you want to put forward for the design.

For paperback we also ask for the book size, page count (this can be an estimate), interior page colour (usually white or cream) and content for the back cover such as blurb, reviews and author information.

Don’t worry if this sounds like a lot of info right now, we will email you detailing all of this after you have placed an order.

 

Do you offer discounts for multiple covers?

Put simply - Yes!

Will I own the copyright to the design?

All designs will remain the copyright of Cover Creator Uk, but you will be granted a standard license which allows you to:

• Sell unlimited e-books

• Sell up to 500k print copies

• Use the unedited image of the cover in online promotional material. (Adding an award sticker to the cover is allowed).
